The Tecnoma XT5A Edgebander will allow us to provide our customers with fully finished 2mm PVC edged doors and panels. This is ideal for home office furniture and educational environment applications.
The XT5A will also enable us to provide the highest quality finish and a larger variety of edge thickness for our doors and panels. Finishes range from 0.4mm melamine edge to 3mm PVC edge. We are also able to offer 5mm thick solid timber edging on panels and doors.
PVC Edging is a thick rigid edging available in a range of colours. It is light fast under normal internal applications and has high dimensional stability. It is resistant to common household cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalines.

The finish we are now producing straight out of the machine has simplified the edging process. We just feed the panel in one end and take it out the other end and the panel is ready to fit straight on to the job. We no longer have any down time to finish the edges and ends by hand.
Our new Multicam CNC Routing Machine will enable us to cut shapes that we would have thought twice about even attempting with our old overhead router.
Until now, kitchen and vanity cabinets, wardrobes, bookcases, office furniture and many other related timber products have been manufactured using traditional processes. Individual components were cut from sheets of material one piece at a time. The individual pieces were then put through our drill presses and router for drilling boring and routing operations before being ready for the edgebander.
The Multicam will now enable us to place sheets of raw material onto the CNC Machine and then cut, rout and bore multiple and varied panels from one sheet in a single operation.
The finished accuracy and quality we are now able to provide our customers far exceeds traditional methods of manual manufacturing.
We have also purchased an automatic sheet loader to feed the panels onto the CNC Machine. Our tradesman will now have more time to focus their attention on the job at hand as they no longer have to manually lift the panels onto the machine. This also has the added benefit of reducing the potential risk of back strain for our tradesmen.
